TAPG X Zarina Abdullah X Plaza Premium Lounge

Featuring artist Zarina Abdullah, Born in 1981 in Perak where she lives and works. Her main sources of inspiration are life, people, places, and scenes she has witnessed. Through her painting "Childhood Memories of Biji Getah" Zarina transports viewers to yesteryear, a simpler time when rubber seeds or biji getah were commonly found and used. The biji getah is a subject that is close to her heart and symbolic of her memories of playing the traditional game of congkak with her cousins in her kampung village. With a keen eye for detail, she uses a palette of red in the background to intentionally give prominence to the rubber seeds, clasped through a subject's fingers in the foreground. Zarina's prowess for art is on full display with this painting.
